Residents can choose to opt-in or opt-out of several of our service-rich offerings – you decide what’s right for you.

Our flexible dining program lets you decide when and where you want to eat. Choose up to three restaurant-style meals a day in our dining room or opt to cook for yourself periodically at home – it’s up to you. Bon appétit!

Of course, maintenance and housekeeping of your Courtyard at Sussex home and grounds is our pleasure. We take great pride in keeping our community in tip-top shape.

Leave the driving to us (or at least allow our valet to clean your windows and pull your car around to the front door!). Arranging transportation for local errands or quick day trips is a breeze – simply hop on the bus or schedule our driver. If you prefer to drive yourself, we’re happy to assist with convenient parking and valet service. It’s your choice!

And, our Concierge is always here to help. From receiving packages to scheduling transportation requests, to greeting your guests, you’ll always find a welcoming smile and a helping hand at our front desk.

Some of the activities at The Courtyard from which you can choose have a dual purpose, such as improving brain health with word games and puzzles, challenging minds with discussion groups, book clubs, and new skill development, and keeping fit and limber with stretching, yoga, and exercise classes. Other events, like Happy Hours, s’more roasting, road trips to local attractions, and musical entertainment are just plain fun!

Crafting is taken to a whole new level with projects that serve as seasonal décor, gifts, or functional art.

Doing unto others is also a part of communal living at The Courtyard at Sussex where residents are invited to share their talents and volunteer their services to host events, teach exercise classes, or offer lectures, travelogues, or other special events.
