When long-time Sussex residents, Paul and Ramona Petry rode their bikes along the Bugline Trail, they had no idea they were pedaling right past what would eventually become their new home.
Fast forward several years, and they drive by the Courtyard at Sussex construction site in their day-to-day travels quite often. “At first we didn’t know what it was, and senior living was not even on our radar, but then the sign went up and a postcard for the new Courtyard at Sussex senior living came in the mail,” recalls Paul. “When we read all that was available, we thought it was a pretty good deal, and we signed up right away.”
As early Courtyard at Sussex Founders Club adopters, Paul and Ramona had a premium choice of locations and floor plans. They chose a two-bedroom apartment with an eastern exposure. “I’m looking forward to being able to see a sunrise every morning,” says Ramona. She and her husband also like the idea of living right downtown near all that Sussex offers.
In addition to the downtown location and prime private residence selection, Paul and Ramona were also attracted to the Founders Club benefits offered to early depositors. In particular, they found the $5,000 packing and moving credit to help defray moving costs a generous offer. Courtyard at Sussex Founders Club memberships, which offer a total of $10,000 in savings, are currently 70% sold out.
As they prepare for their move, Paul and Ramona eagerly anticipate being with a group of people their age who share similar interests. “I like the idea that the community isn’t huge, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet and socialize with the neighbors,” says Paul. He also appreciates the fact that transportation in the Courtyard town car is available (“I don’t want to drive at night anymore!).
As they work through the process of preparing their current home for sale and make arrangements for furnishing and decorating their new home, Ramona says that they are both “looking ahead to all the new possibilities that await” at The Courtyard at Sussex.
